By working as a Program Officer within the Community and Inclusive Growth Directorate, you will be working with dynamic Indigenous stakeholders in supporting Indigenous Communities and Businesses by:
- Accomplishing work that allows you to use your organizational and leadership skills;
- Working on the implementation, delivery and support of programs and Agency priorities;
- Promoting ACOA's programs and activities to the public and business community;
- Providing professional advice, analysis and recommendations on economic and business development issues;
- Assisting in the development and delivery of regional economic development programs;
- Managing a portfolio of accounts.
A pool of qualified candidates may be created for future vacancies at the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency in Moncton.

EDUCATION:
Graduation from a post-secondary recognized program in a relevant area of study (such as Business, Economics, Economics, Public Administration) OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience* in a field related to the position.
*For example, a secondary school diploma with significant experience in a field directly related to the position such as economic development, land development, real estate development.
EXPERIENCES:
The following experiences are required for all positions:
E1: Gathering and analyzing information and preparing reports or documents for stakeholders.
E2: Providing or presenting information verbally.
E3: Working collaboratively with others on projects or activities.
Additionally, the following experiences are required for the Program Officer position (CO-2):
E4: Delivery of various initiatives to a diverse client base.
E5: Analysis and evaluation of business or strategic plans or proposals.
E6: Representing your organization in various circles/forum/committees.

A degree from a recognized university could be considered as an asset for the job.
Having worked in the delivery of economic development programs and services could be considered as an asset for the job.
ORGANIZATIONAL NEED:

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Willingness to travel, as required.
• Willingness to work outside working hours with minimal notice.
• Must have a valid driver's license or personal mobility to the extent normally associated with the possession of a driver's license.
Security level will be based on the position to be staffed (Reliability or Secret security clearance).
