WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
• A group interview is planned as an evaluation tool. Those invited to this evaluation stage will have to go to the Institut-Maurice Lamontagne.
• We encourage students who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree program with a specialization in biology and who are on track to obtain their degree (bachelor's degree) by the summer of 2020 to apply.
• A cover letter is not required, you only need to answer the screening questions and submit your CV.
• Persons are entitled to participate in the selection process in the official language(s) of their choice.
The Ecosystem Management Directorate has three programs:
• Oceans management;
• Species at risk management and;
• The fish and fish habitat protection program.
Among other things, BI-02 biologists are asked to conduct analyses, participate and consult with various partners, draft documents and make management recommendations regarding the implementation of various regulatory and protection programs.
The mandate of the Regional Ecosystem Management Branch is to ensure the conservation and protection of aquatic, freshwater and marine ecosystems in the Quebec Region through the implementation of policies that derive from federal legislation. We are located in Mont-Joli, at the Maurice Lamontagne Institute, on the shores of the St. Lawrence Estuary. As a result of this process, a pool of candidates will be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenures and linguistic profiles at the Maurice Lamontagne Institute in Mont-Joli, Quebec.

EDUCATION
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in a biological science.
Note
The term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.
The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
EXPERIENCE
• Have experience working with partners on issues related to the management of living natural resources.
• Experience in analysis, summary and reporting using data or information related to natural environment research.
