There is an immediate need to staff two positions in the Strategic Investments Directorate. A pool of qualified candidates will be created and used to fill identical or similar positions, on a permanent or temporary basis at Crown Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada in Whitehorse, Yukon.
• Regional Senior Program Officer – Child and Family Services: Immediate, permanent need
• Capital Management Infrastructure Officer – Community Infrastructure: Immediate, permanent need.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in social sciences, political sciences, accounting, public administration, business administration or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including First Nations organizations.
2. Experience in analysing information to support the implementation of policies and delivery of programs.
3. Experience in providing program advice and recommendations to stakeholders.

**Northern community – defined as any community located in the territories.
Asset Qualification - Stream 1- Regional Senior Program Officer Only:
1. Experience in the delivery of community-based child protection and child welfare, education or social development programs.
2. Ability to interpret, analyse and apply legal or policy documents.
3. Knowledge of human rights issues or child welfare principles.
Asset Qualifications - Stream 2 - Capital Management Infrastructure Officer Only:
1. Experience in contributing to organizational planning processes.
2. Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple responsibilities in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
3. Knowledge of project management principles.
