Western Economic Diversification is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team. If you are motivated and interested in an exciting opportunity in a dynamic department please apply.
We are looking for people who think independently, work creatively and enjoy working in a team environment to support the priorities of the department. As a Regional Administrative Assistant, you will be challenged to provide administrative, procurement, records management, reception and data entry services to the Alberta Regional Office and Headquarters of Western Economic Diversification Canada.

Education:
• Successful completion of a secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
Experience:
• Administrative services: experience providing a full range of administrative services including: data entry, monitoring information flow, and records management.
• Information and records management: experience in maintaining physical and/or electronic files (e.g. file scanning, indexing, retrieving, retention, archiving of data)
• Procurement and contracting: experience in providing general procurement and contracting support services (e.g. assisting in general procurement practices, ordering goods and supplies)
• Experience with information technology support: providing videoconferencing support and assistance with the configuration/usage of office technology
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: with particular emphasis on Excel and Outlook or equivalent software systems.
• Experience in providing client service: such as mail services and responding to enquiries from the public.

• Experience using a shared drive and electronic file management system, such as GCDocs.
• Experience using a corporate travel management system, such as HRG.
• Experience working in tracking software (such as GX, CRM, CCM).
