EDUCATION:
Graduation with an acceptable technical degree or diploma from a recognized university or college or employer approved alternatives including an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
• Recent* and significant+ experience working with air quality measuring instruments.
• Recent* and significant+ experience in air quality instrument installation, maintenance, repair and calibration.
• Recent* experience in data management assurance and data quality control.
* Recent experience is defined as experience acquired within the last five years from work or formal training opportunities; candidates should note where such experience was obtained in their application.
+Significant experience is defined as two or more years of experience acquired in a working environment; candidates should note where such experience was obtained in their application.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in development or design of electronics.
• Experience in meteorological instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Field experience in the collection and QA/QC of air quality data.
• Experience with Raspberry Pi (or equivalent) computer platforms.
• Experience in LabVIEW or other environmental data acquisition systems and data communications.
• Experience installing solar power solutions for environmental monitoring equipment.
• Experience with low-cost sensors for environmental monitoring.

KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of computer and data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of air quality instrument installation, principles of operation, maintenance, calibration, testing and repair
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control of measurement data.

KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of operation, maintenance and repair of meteorological instruments.
• Knowledge of computer networking, remote access of equipment and remote accessing tools
• Knowledge of computer programming (eg. R, Python, Labview, others)
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willingness and ability to work overtime
Reliability Status security clearance
• The requirement to travel for meetings, training, and fieldwork by air or car.
• Medically fit to work in remote environments.
• Willing and able to work on elevated sites.
• Willing and able to move equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 kg.
• Willing and able to participate in work that may require extended working hours and periods up to one week in duration away from home.
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license.
