Intent of the process

This process is designed to staff two (2) different types of positions. They are as follows:

Stream 1: Regional Manager – Real Property

Stream 2: Regional Manager – Strategic Planning and Project Management

A pool of qualified candidates may be established to fill current and future
vacancies, on a temporary or permanent, part-time or full-time basis.

Education (Stream 1; Stream 2):

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience (Stream 1; Stream 2):

Significant* and recent** experience in contract management

Significant* and recent** experience in project delivery

Significant* and recent** experience in financial management and analysis (e.g., participating in the investment analysis process, contributing to analysis of data on market trends, etc.)

Significant* and recent** experience in client consultation and liaison

Significant* and recent** experience in real property

Significant* and recent** experience in managing of human resources.

*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a
two (2) year period.

**Recent is defined as being acquired within the last five (5) years

Successful completion of some or all of CSPS functional specialization courses:

• Fundamentals 1: Overview of Materiel Management (C233)

• Fundamentals 2: Legal and Policy Environment for Procurement, Materiel Management and Real Property (M714)
• Fundamentals 3: Procurement, Materiel Management and Real Property in the Government Context (M716)
• Fundamentals 1: Introduction to Real Property Management (M721)

Degree equivalency

(Stream 1 and Stream 2):

Experience working in a policing environment

(Stream 2):

Significant* and recent** experience in leading projects with a medium complexity (PCRA 2), multi-year delivery, and a dollar value greater than $1M (Stream 2)

*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a two (2) year period.

**Recent is defined as being acquired within the last five (5) years
