Who are we?
The mission of the Public Service Commission (PSC) is to promote and safeguard a non-partisan, merit-based and representative public service that serves all Canadians. A key role of the Commission is to facilitate the recruitment of talented Canadians, drawn from across the country, on behalf of departments and agencies.
Our team is the business steward of the Government of Canada’s (GC) recruitment and staffing system. We are currently taking on the exciting challenge of transforming this system. Our goal is to establish a modern, user-centric, accessible and intuitive job application system that will deliver quality applicants to departments and agencies now and in the future.
We also provide business improvement services to internal clients, including project management and business analysis support.

You will work in a healthy environment that offers great work-life balance, a modern building in downtown Gatineau with gyms and cafés just a few steps away, access to showers, bus routes and bike/jogging paths nearby. Like to work standing up or sitting down? You choose. It is also WI-FI ready, you can work anywhere in the building, including at our Active Work Stations, equipped with a treadmill or a stationary bicycle.
The results of this process will initially be used to staff these positions indeterminately. A pool of qualified candidates will also be established and could be used to staff similar positions with various tenures within the Public Service Commission in the National Capital Region.

EDUCATION
ED.1: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.*
* Acceptable combination of at least 4 years of a combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position.
ALL STREAMS
EE.1 Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and teams.
EE.2 Experience working in Information Technology (IT) projects or supporting operational systems.
EE.3 Experience analysing issues and providing strategic recommendations to clients and senior management*.
EE.4 Experience researching and synthesizing information to prepare reports or presentations for senior management*.
* Senior Management is defined as at the Director level or above.
STREAM 1 ONLY
EE.5 Significant** experience in the management of projects.
STREAM 2 ONLY
EE.6 Significant** experience in the development and management of business requirements.
** Significant meaning two consecutive years or more
EDA.1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
ALL STREAMS
AE.1 Experience developing project planning artifacts
AE.2 Experience delivering presentations
STREAM 1 ONLY
AE.3: Project Management Certification, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environment).
STREAM 2 ONLY
AE.4 Business Analysis Certification, such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) and CCBA (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis)
AE.5 Experience leading client sessions and gathering and analyzing requirements.
