Work environment

It is important to note that the work is conducted in a confined/restricted workspace while wearing a headset and having constant exposure to multiple computer screens, noises, and audio for extended periods of time. Furthermore, the work itself may include exposure to violent and/or traumatic events, abusive language, and disturbing graphic material when conducting intercept monitoring activities.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to establish 2 pools of qualified candidates – Stream 1: generic, and Stream 2: foreign language - to meet anticipated future needs if and when they arise.

Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended. It may be used to staff future vacancies (including similar positions, on a casual, specified period or indeterminate basis, and at either full, part time or as-and-when-required hours) located in Surrey, BC. The pool is intended to be inclusive of Public Service (PS) employees and Civilian Members (CM).

EDUCATION
A secondary School Diploma or employer-approved alternative*

EXPERIENCE
EEX1. Recent* experience working as an Intercept Monitor Analyst using the Central Communication Intercept System (CenCIS II)
EEX2. Recent* experience applying Part VI and XV of the Criminal Code pertaining to the interception of telecommunications

*Recent is defined as having performed the duties required within the last 12 months
