Are you a “people person”? Are you passionate about seeing people live healthy and fulfilling lives? Do you want to make a positive impact on First Nations and Inuit communities in Saskatchewan? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
In the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) of Indigenous Services Canada, we strive to provide access to quality health services, improve health outcomes, and support greater control of the health system by First Nations and Inuit.
By joining our team, you will have opportunity to provide direct support to health services and community based programming. You will build and support strong working relationships with First Nations and Inuit communities, families, and individuals, with a focus on improving health outcomes and reducing health risks.
In addition to your Indigenous Services Canada colleagues, your diverse team will consist of other federal departments, provincial partners, and members of the First Nations and Inuit communities FNIHB supports.
This is an anticipatory process. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used in the future to fill similar positions of various tenures (such as temporary, permanent, acting, assignments/secondments, and deployments).
Because this process is anticipatory, future vacancies, although similar, may have some distinct differences. Some positions will require regular travel and hands on, in person work with First Nations and Inuit communities. Other positions may require strong leadership in an office setting and the ability to supervise a team. If either one of these sounds like something you would excel at, please apply!
The intent is to staff anticipatory targeted vacant positions via the Aboriginal Peoples Employment Program (APEP), which aims to strategically increase Aboriginal representation within Indigenous Services Canada, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch. As such, Organizational Needs may be applied and first consideration may be given to candidates self-identifying as belonging to Aboriginal peoples.
