Assessment accommodation

When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.

Please note that we will be pulling the first batch of candidates from the inventory on November 1, 2019. If you are referred from the inventory you will be contacted to be assessed at a later date. If you are not referred no communication will be sent. Future pulls from the inventory may be administered.

Assessment information:

A variety of tools and methods may be used to assess candidates, including, but not limited to, written tests, interviews and/or reference checks.

Any information that you provide throughout the process may form part of the assessment, including:

1. Screening questionnaire: A summary of past experience, including the situation, action and result must be included in your responses to the screening questionnaire.

2. The names of two (2) academic or professional supervisors, letters of recommendation or performance evaluations.

3. Samples of work, publications, academic achievements (awards or fellowships) and transcripts.

An inventory will be established from this process to staff identical or similar positions within Statistics Canada in the National Capital Region. This process may be used to staff positions of various tenures, language requirements, and security profiles.

Education:
Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.

Degree equivalency
