In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of two years of secondary school* or employer- approved alternatives
*Two years of secondary school is typically completion of grade ten

Degree equivalency

*Recent experience in a warehouse environment with materiel control duties of EACH of the following: inventory control, shipping and receiving, storage and issue. *Recent experience is defined as three consecutive months within the past three years

*Recent experience providing customer service
*Recent experience is defined as three consecutive months within the past three years

*Recent experience operating and administering material inventory in a system database such as Systems, Applications & Products (SAP), etc
*Recent experience is defined as three consecutive months within the past three years

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience working in a large and complex institutional setting

Experience using the Materiel Management Systems, Applications & Products (SAP) system

Experience with the use of automated shipping systems such as Purolator Courier, Fedex, etc

Willingness and ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice

Willingness and ability to work shift work

Willingness and ability to travel for work related and/or training purposes

Willingness to safely handle firearms, munitions and hazardous goods including irritants and explosives

Willingness and ability to lift and carry boxes or equipment weighing up to 30kg on a daily basis

Willingness and ability to stand for extended periods of time on a daily basis

Willingness and ability to wear Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved footwear and supplied uniform

The successful applicant will have to obtain an RCMP security clearance. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
