The intent of this process is to staff one EG-02 position for a determinate period of 1 year, with a possibility of extension.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar EG-02 positions within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or permanent), various language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential, or Bilingual) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (Reliability status or Secret clearance), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Your résumé.
Successful completion of a two-year (or more) post-secondary educational program from a recognized post-secondary institution in chemical technology or biotechnology.
• Significant and recent* experience performing lab work in a chemical or biological technology (or similar) setting (experience acquired within a relevant post-secondary educational program will also be accepted).
• Experience in working with dangerous chemicals such as: concentrated acids, organic solvents and others
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word to organize data and prepare reports.
• Experience using computer software to run analytical equipment.
* Significant and recent experience is a minimum of 2 years experience acquired within the past 5 years.
• Recent**, “hands-on” work experience in a chemical/biotechnical Laboratory
• Experience using databases such as a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
** Recent experience is a minimum of 3 months within the past 5 years.
