A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions within the Department of National Defence with various tenures in various locations, with various security clearance levels and/or various linguistic profiles.

EXPERIENCE
EX1: Experience providing general labour services performing one or more of the following:
1. Assisting skilled tradespersons
2. Loading, unloading, and/or moving work materials such as, but not limited to, equipment, furniture.
3. Use of common hand and/or power tools
4. Performing grounds maintenance services such as, but not limited to, grass cutting, raking, trimming trees, snow shoveling

EX2: Experience in operating power equipment (gas or electric) including but not limited to skid steer, zero turn ride-on lawn mower, push mower, trimmers and leaf blowers.

EX3: Experience in the operation of Material Handling Equipment

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Forklift qualification up to F5
AEX2: Experience with issue and receipt procedures
AEX3: Experience in stores and warehousing
AEX4: Experience in the movement and assembling of furniture and appliances.
AEX: Experience in driving and first parade/maintenance check of vehicles.
AEX6: Experience working with hazardous materials, for example, oils and lubricants.
AEX7: Experience in minor repairs.
AEX8: Experience working within a military environment or engineering environment.
AEX9: Experience operating a skid -steer loader
AEX10: Experience operating scissor lift
AEX11: Experience using computer applications, such as, but not limited to: MS Word, Excel, or MS Outlook

- May be required to obtain and maintain a DND 404/FMT 600
- May be required to obtain and maintain a Material Handling Equipment qualification
- May be required to work overtime
- May be required to work weekends

- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the position
- May have to work outside in poor weather conditions
- May be exposed to fumes
- May be required to lift / move heavy objects; must be able to lift 20 kg safely
- May be required to work at elevations more than 2.4m above floor level
