- Responding to incoming calls and processing files as per procedures

In an office environment, the work involves tight deadlines to feed into other activities. The work involves preparing reports that can be used in a court case.
The intent of this process is to fill one (1) indeterminate positions in Montreal, Quebec.
A pool of qualified or partially assessed candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements, in various locations, with various tenures (specified period, indeterminate, assignment, deployment, secondments, and acting) within Environment and Climate Change Canada.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma.
EXPERIENCE:
- Significant experience* in communicating in verbal and in writing with clients.
- Experience in analyzing and synthesizing information and data.
- Experience in data entry and in the use of multiple software: Microsoft office suite (word processing, spreadsheet, email) and web-browsers.
* A Significant experience is defined as an experience gained during a period of approximately two (2) years or more.

EDUCATION:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a science relevant to the duties of the position.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in communicating and processing regulatory information with internal and external clients.
- Experience in communicating with federal, provincial or territorial authorities.
- Experience in analyzing information or writing reports about environmental and/or regulatory issues.
- Experience in responding to inbound calls within a call center environment.
- Experience in working in a 24/7 environment.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The work involves wearing a headset continuously and remaining at your desk for a continued period of time.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as required, often on short notice.
- The work involves remaining ready to receive and process files, regardless of the incoming volume (low or high). This means to be able to adapt to calm periods with potential delays in between incoming files and to busy periods requiring processing multiple files at once.
- The work involves prioritizing files in an emergency setting.
- The work involves working alone during night and weekend shifts.
Reliability Status security clearance
Potential conditions of employment or operational requirements may include working in rotating shifts from 8 to 12 hours in a 24/7 environment including nights, weekends and holidays.
