Duties

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is tasked with a wide variety of high-profile projects and has a mandate that permits us to do many different types of work. We provide many different kinds of procurement services such as commercial goods and services, professional services, research and development, marine equipment, informatics, construction, etc.

As a Supply Specialist, you will be responsible for the following activities:
- develop procurement strategies for products and services
- advise clients and management on bids
- award and manage contracts
- use and sharpen your negotiation skills
- explore new ways to gain efficiencies
- provide clients and management with advice and guidance
- prepare and maintain procurement reports
- negotiate complex, multi-million-dollar contracts

Intent of the process

This process will be used to create a pool of candidates to fill temporarily (assignment, secondment, temporary, casual and determined) or permanent (indeterminate) PG-04 positions with various linguistic profiles in the offices of Montreal or Quebec City of SPAC, Quebec Region.

The first intention is to fill 2 positions in the Quebec City office, interested candidates must be able to perform their duties in the Quebec City office.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience 1: Recent* and significant** experience in the development and implementation of procurement strategies for goods and/or services and/or construction.

Experience 2: Recent* and significant** experience in workplace negotiation with multiple stakeholders, including public and/or private sector representatives.

Experience 3: Significant** experience to perform analysis and provide advice on supply issues.

* "Recent experience" refers to experience gained in the last six (6) years.
** “Significant experience” means a cumulative minimum work experience of (3) years.
