As a member of the DTSS leadership team, you will be responsible for providing management direction and operational oversight of the DSIB’s with respect to OSFI’s supervisory activities directed to the largest of Canada’s banking conglomerates, which have been designated as being domestic systemically important banks (DSIBS).
The Senior Director, DTSS-DSIB’s will be responsible for contributing strategically to identifying issues and trends within the large, complex banking conglomerates and the implications for influencing the nature and intensity of ongoing supervision work within the large DSIBs, and in turn, contributing to the safety and soundness of Canada’s banking institutions. As a member of OSFI’s senior management team, you will have a leadership role in at least one of OSFI’s internal governance committees. In addition, you may be asked to play a leading role in internal projects. In this way, you will be contributing to OSFI’s overall direction and operational oversight.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● A university degree with specialization in commerce, accounting, business, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field OR an acceptable combination of education, experience, and/or training.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent and significant senior-level experience in banking, risk management, finance or in a regulatory function in the financial services industry*.
● Recent and significant experience dealing with complex risk management issues requiring extensive analysis, policy development and/or development of solution/resolution recommendations.
● Recent and significant experience in managing teams and/or leading, developing, coaching and/or training staff.
*Financial services industry includes experience working in a financial institution, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms (dealing with audits), as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions, or other relevant areas.
