Over the last few years, federal organizations and agencies have been recruiting hundreds of new human resources professionals annually, at all levels.
The PSC in collaboration with various federal government organizations will establish a fully assessed pool that will be made available to federal organizations across the country to staff positions in Human Resources. Please note that the majority of the positions are located in the National Capital Region (Ottawa and Gatineau) and the main urban centers. Therefore, please only select the work locations that are of interest to you.

Your résumé.
A degree* , obtained OR will be obtained by June 30th, 2020, from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources, industrial or labour relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education, social science, sociology or any other field relevant to the work
*Unless it is otherwise specified (e.g., Master’s degree), the term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.
Proof of education will be required before the employment offer start date. If you have a diploma from another country, you must provide proof of Canadian equivalency.
Various language requirements
If interested in being considered for bilingual positions, you will be invited to undergo our standardized tests for second language evaluation in order to determine your bilingualism level.
For the positions within the National Capital Region and within the province of Quebec, please note that the majority of positions are bilingual.

Certain positions could require the incumbent to work overtime, travel or be willing to relocate.
Reliability Status security clearance - Required security clearance levels may vary according to the position being staffed.
How and when will I be assessed?
You will receive an unsupervised internet test (PSEE UIT 370) at the end of October 2019 to be completed within a five (5) day window to assess your judgment and reasoning skills.
If you are successful at the unsupervised test, you will be invited to the supervised in-person test (PSEE 371) that will be administered starting in November 2019 to further assess your judgment and reasoning skills.

If your application is selected following the standardized exams, you will be invited to demonstrate the following skills through a formal assessment process starting in January 2020 to assess the following competencies:
- Thinking things through
- Showing initiative and being action-oriented
- Communication (written and oral)
- Client service orientation
Note: The formal assessment will include: a written test and a simulation exercise. Reference checks may be completed by the hiring department at a later date.
