As a Junior ATIP Analyst, you would be responsible for assessing important records prior to disclosure and for safeguarding personal information from disclosure. Your role contributes to an open and transparent Government that is accountable to Canadians.
As a Junior ATIP Analyst, you will:
- play a central role in fulfilling the responsibilities of the organization under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act;
- analyse records, provide advice and guidance to the various groups in the organization who will be providing relevant records in response to ATIP requests;
- conduct consultations within the department and with other government institutions and third parties, as required; and
- provide current information on the laws and obligations prescribed by them and, in general, participate in activities related to compliance with the requirements of the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Health Canada is working in collaboration with Access to Information and Privacy offices in various other federal organizations, including the Public Health Agency of Canada, Global Affairs Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Public Services and Procurement Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada, National Defence, Indigenous Services Canada, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and others, who also intend to use this selection process to fill vacant positions.
This process will be used to staff numerous indeterminate positions. A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures various linguistic requirements, various security requirements and for various locations within Health Canada and other participating government departments including the Public Health Agency of Canada, Global Affairs Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Public Services and Procurement Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada, National Defence, Indigenous Services Canada, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and others.

How and when will I be assessed?
- You will receive an unsupervised internet test (PSEE UIT 370) at the end of October to be completed within a five (5) day window.
- If you are successful at the unsupervised test, you will be invited to the supervised in-person test (PSEE 371) that will be administered starting in November 2019.
