FCAC is a separate agency that offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core federal public service. The intent of this selection process is to staff various administrative positions within the Agency. The exact number of positions to be staffed, the language and security profile for each position remains to be determined.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.
We may appoint candidates by applying one or more of the following criteria:
- Breadth, depth, type of specific asset experience;
- Matching individual experience assets or qualifications to the need of the Agency;
- Level of one of more competencies/qualifications.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
EXPERIENCE
E1 Experience in providing administrative support services* in an office environment.
E2 Experience in providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone, in writing or in person.
*Administrative support services such as: managing calendars/emails; writing agendas and minutes for meetings; scheduling and organizing meetings; making travel and hospitality arrangements/claims; ensuring the distribution, control and filing of documents/correspondence; and other related duties.
ASSET EDUCATION
Completion of a program from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in the legal support field.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
AE1 Experience in providing administrative support services in an executive office.
AE2 Experience in providing financial support services (services may include verifying and correcting financial claims, controlling and monitoring petty cash, preparing financial status reports, etc.).
AE3 Experience in providing budget support services.
AE4 Experience organizing travel arrangements and processing travel claims.
AE5 Experience in providing human resources support services.
AE6 Experience in providing operational human resources support services within the Federal Public Service.
AE7 Experience in maintaining and updating a Human Resources Management Information System (e.g. HRMIS, PeopleSoft).
AE8 Experience in working in a financial services institution.
AE9 Experience in providing administrative support in a call-center environment.
AE10 Experience in providing administrative support to legal professionals.
AE11 Experience in using an electronic documents and records management system (EDRMS) such as RDIMS, GCDOCS, etc.
AE12 Experience in classifying physical records and organizing/preparing them for their transfer to offsite storage or their disposition.

**Positions will be staffed on a bilingual imperative basis. If no successful bilingual candidates are identified, then a bilingual non-imperative appointment may be considered.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to work overtime.
Other operational requirement may be applied depending on the position to be staffed (for example, willingness and ability to travel).
SECURITY: Reliability or Secret, depending on the position to be staffed.
CALL-CENTER POSITIONS ONLY: Must be available to work varying shifts (7.5 hours) Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is a requirement of the position that the incumbent must fulfill on an ongoing basis throughout his/her employment.
