EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position being filled.
OR
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in information management/ information technology (IM/IT) or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
E1-Extensive** experience in planning, delivery and management of programs, services or projects;
E2- Extensive** experience in the provision of strategic advice to senior executives (at DG or equivalent level and above) on complex*** business or IM/IT issues or Departmental programs or IT Security issues;
E3- Extensive** experience in working, collaborating, building relationships, negotiating and maintaining partnerships and networks with stakeholders such as federal government departments and agencies, other levels of government and private sector organizations;
E4- Extensive** experience in managing human resources****;
E5- Extensive** experience in managing financial resources*****.
DEFINITIONS :
* Significant means for a period of approximately 2 years;
** Extensive means for approximately 3 years;
***Complex issues are issues with at least three (3) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent setting, having a major impact on the public service;
**** Human Resources Management: Candidates must clearly demonstrate that they have managed and supervised employees, established work plans and performance objectives and assessed performance. Candidates must specify the number and group and levels of employees they supervised;
***** Financial Management: Candidates must show evidence of managing and being accountable for a budget for one complete fiscal cycle. This experience is defined as being responsible for sound financial planning, forecasting and reporting. Candidates must indicate the size of the budget they directly managed.

ASSET EDUCATION/ DESIGNATION AND CERTIFICATION:
AED1 -Master degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position being filled;
AED2- ITIL Certification;
AED3- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
AE1- Experience in leading the design, development and implementation of policies and service or security standards, and/or governance and planning framework;
AE2- Experience in managing IM\IT services through the application of a full cycle IM\IT service management framework;
AE3- Experience in leading the delivery of IM/IT services/operations;
AE4- Experience in analyzing and resolving contracting issues;
AE5- Experience in leading the delivery of all phases of an internal or external audit;
AE6- Experience in managing virtual teams.
ASSET KNOWLEDGE:
AK1- Knowledge of core project management or service management principles.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to work overtime.
Willingness to travel.
