The TSB's IS-04 editors and technical writers work on reports of investigations into air, marine, pipeline, and rail transportation accidents in English and in French, depending on their expertise. Collaborating with investigators, contract editors, translators, graphic designers, and web developers, they ensure that both the content and the form of the reports are of the highest quality and are accessible to Canadians and overseas.
In addition to their main role, Editors develop work tools, organize events and workshops and are also called upon to provide advice to senior managers.

The TSB was created as an independent agency due to the importance of impartiality in the conduct of investigations. It is fundamental to the achievement of the TSB’s mandate for employees to be free from real, apparent or potential conflicts of interest in the conduct of day to day operations. As such, and in accordance with the TSB Code of Values and Ethics, candidates in this selection process cannot directly own an interest (shares or other) in a company involved in the air, marine, rail, or pipeline industry. Other personal activities relating to these industries may also represent a conflict of interest. Should you have concerns in regards to your candidacy or any real, apparent or potential conflicts of interest, you are strongly encouraged to raise them as early in the process as possible. For additional information on TSB Code of Values and Ethics, please visit the website at: http://www.tsb.gc.ca/eng/index.asp
