Duties

The duties for the vacant position include:

Influence the organization’s business owners to move from descriptive analysis to decision making supported through data analyses and insights.

Translate business needs into data analytics processes and reporting and drive synchronization of reporting across business lines to build long-term adoption and continued usage.

Establish cross-functional relationships with Formation business owners and stakeholders..

Learn new technologies and understand data architecture, programs and tools to serve as a data consultant and to mentor data analysts.

Understand analytics/BI infrastructure to support long-term development of data infrastructure.

Use communication, data visualization and analytical skills to simplify business problems and recommend analytical and reporting solutions.

EDUCATION:

Successful completion of a degree from an acceptable post-secondary institution in computer science, information technology, information management, business intelligence, analytics or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Recent* experience analyzing data from business software applications.

Experience evaluating business processes or performance indicators and recommending reporting solutions for decision making.

Experience developing presentations and delivering to management.

Experience establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with clients.

Experience coordinating the activities of a team.

*RECENT experience is defined as experience associated with performing a range of related activities within the last 3 years.
