The NRCan Booth Street complex is located within walking distance of Dows Lake, the Rideau Canal, and a network of paths through the greenspace of Commissioners Park, linking you to the city-wide urban cycling and pedestrian trail system. NRCan employees have access to amenities such as showers, change rooms and secure bicycle storage, allowing them to commute using Ottawa’s bike path system.
A pool of fully qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada at the AS-05 group and level with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate, acting etc.), various linguistic requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential and Bilingual imperative) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (i.e. Reliability, Secret, Top Secret), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experiences:
- Significant* experience in providing document management services within the context of an Electronic Records/Document Management Solutions (EDRMS), such as GCdocs, SharePoint, RDIMS, eDocs, etc..
- Significant* experience in providing advice and guidance to all levels of staff and management.
- Significant* experience interpreting and applying information management (IM) related policies and directives.
- Experience in the design and management of one or more of the following: metadata, controlled vocabularies, and departmental IM taxonomies.
- Experience in documenting and analysing business and IM processes in order to provide solutions, advice and recommendations to clients.
*Significant is defined as a minimum of 3 years within the last 10 years.

Asset Qualifications:
Education:
- Post-secondary degree from a recognized university or a college diploma.
- Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS), or in Information Studies (MIS).
Experiences:
- Experience using and managing information in OpenText Content Server (GCdocs).
- Experience in change management principles.
