This project will involve handling mycotoxins and mycotoxin producing fungi, and mycotoxin transforming microbes; analysis and identification of microbial / enzymatic transformed mycotoxin products using state-of-the-art instrumentations such as HPLC and LC-MS; also technologies of protein purification and gene cloning etc. Other activities include collection of data, perform data analysis from experiments and report results as well as write research reports and peer reviewed manuscripts.
Includes a level II containment facility. Work will include handling infectious agents and hazardous materials. Appropriate training will be provided to create a safe work environment.
