Intent of the process

This inventory may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to staff similar or identical positions within the Department of National Defence –
with various tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment), operational requirements and/or condition of employments, which
may vary according to the position to be staffed.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

E1: Successful completion of a Certified Engineering Technologist/Technician diploma or diploma in related field from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.

*Acceptable combination: 1 year of post-secondary + 3 years of experience in an infrastructure management position within the last 5 years or Construction Engineering Superintendent QL6B

Degree equivalency

EX1: Experience conducting research such as problem definition, data collection, analysis and interpretation, and reporting.

EX2: Experience planning, developing or introducing procedures, guidelines or programs.

EX3: Experience in budget management.

EX4: Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

EX5: Experience in interpreting construction codes, regulations and standards.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

CoE2: Possession of a valid and unrestricted Class 5 provincial Driver’s licence.

CoE3: Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 driving permit.

CoE4: Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment

CoE5: Candidates must be willing and able to work in heights, confined spaces, and physically lift of up to 25 kg when required
