EDUCATION

You must meet one of the following:
• Graduation with a degree or diploma from an accredited university or college in Canada.
• Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary school program with acceptable specialization in social science, statistics, library/archival work, law-related field or in any other field relevant to the work being performed.
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

1. Experience in the use of various software programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET EXPERIENCE

1. Experience providing library services.
2. Experience working within an Education environment.
3. Experience working in a correctional setting.
4. Experience working with Indigenous cultures and languages.
5. Experience with library automation software.
6. Experience training and supervising workers.
7. Experience liaising with community organizations

1. Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy related to institutional libraries.
2. Knowledge of library management.
3. Knowledge of community organizations as it relates to provision of support for clients in areas such as social services, education, training or employment.
