Throughout the process, applicants will be required to provide requested information promptly and make themselves available for the assessment;

In assessing candidates, a variety of evaluation tools, methods and assessment timelines may be used, including but not limited to: standardized tests (ex. EPSI, Public Service Commission tests, etc.), self-assessments, interviews, references, exams, reviews of past performance and accomplishments, etc.

- References may be contacted at any phase of the process.
All of the information collected during the selection process, including behaviour and communication, from the time of application until the end of the process, may be used to evaluate candidates.
Asset Qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed as a right-fit for the position and/or may be used to manage the volume of candidates.
Indeterminate employees at the same group and level (or equivalent) may be considered first, for deployment.

Foreign Education Credentials: Candidates with foreign education credentials are required to provide proof of Canadian equivalency. EDUCATION:
ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with: acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics OR acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Notes:
• Candidates must always have a degree.
• The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
• An indeterminate incumbent of a former ES position on June 30, 1967 who became an EC on June 22, 2009, who does not possess the minimum level of education as indicated for Part A above is deemed to meet this minimum educational standard based on his/her education, training and/or experience.

E1: Experience* in analyzing AND synthesizing information to identify key issues;

DEFINITIONS:
*Experience may have been acquired as either part of an academic project OR in a work setting.
