The Publishing Officer position works directly under the Editor-in-Chief to co-ordinate, provide advice and provide technical services (formatting, copy-editing, handling) for Defence Research and Development publication activities in the production of formal scientific documents.
The initial intent of this process is to offer one indeterminate English essential position in Suffield, AB
A pool of qualified persons resulting from this process will be created and may be used to fill similar positions with linguistic profiles (English essential, bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, bilingual imperative CBC/CBC, as well as tenures ((indeterminate, deployment, acting, assignment, secondment, specified period), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

Education:
EDU1. Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary school program with acceptable specialization in information sciences, communication, literature/arts and letters, publication and edition, library/archival work or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
EXPERIENCE:
EX1. Significant experience (at least one year) preparing, editing and formatting scientific and technical documents
EX2. Experience in providing client services in a scientific or technical environment
EX3. Significant experience (at least one year) working with publishing and/or communication tools, such as automated systems and software applications, spreadsheets, e-mail and internet
