Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) indeterminate position (permanent, full-time).
A pool of qualified candidates will be established. This process may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures(Acting, Assignment, Deployment, Indeterminate, Secondment, Specified period), linguistic profiles(Bilingual imperative CBC/CBC, Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, English or French Essential) and levels and security clearance levels, within Library and Archives Canada.

COMMON TO ALL STREAMS:
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

NOTES:

1. Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.

2. It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.

Degree equivalency

Extensive* experience in providing Information Management (IM) or Information Technology (IT) client support services.

SPECIFIC TO STREAM 1 – SharePoint Server Support Analyst

EX1 - Extensive* experience providing technical services in PowerShell scripting

SPECIFIC TO STREAM 1 – SharePoint Server Support Analyst
EX2 - Extensive* experience providing technical services in Database Administration using Microsoft SQL (2008 or above).

SPECIFIC TO STREAM 1 – SharePoint Server Support Analyst
EX3 - Extensive* experience installing and configuring and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint server 2010 or higher

EX1 - Extensive* experience in analyzing, designing or integrating business solutions using SharePoint (2010 or above) environment.

Extensive* is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties for a period of approximately two (2) years.
