In addition to salary, you are entitled to A northern isolated post allowance ranging from $16,833 for a single person up to $37,810 for an employee with dependents. This allowance is established based on the location of the position.

Vacation travel assistance twice in each fiscal year is also offered.

Intent of the process

Immediate hiring need is in Iqaluit, Nunavut. However, a pool of candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures and linguistic profiles, in Cambridge Bay, Iqaluit, and Rankin Inlet.

Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience)

Degree equivalency

Experience in using technology (e.g. e-mail, Internet and word processing)

Experience in collaborating with community partners and stakeholders

Experience in delivering services or programs to the general public involving obtaining and providing information requiring explanation or clarification
