Get creative with ACOA! ACOA’s Communications team is looking for creative brains to join our multimedia, video and design team to create impactful visual stories to share with Canadians.

Do you love to play in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign and/or Illustrator?

• Delivering design concepts and creatives for infographics, videos, motion graphics, multi-media presentations, and/or web.
• Using Adobe Creative Cloud to create your design products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Premiere, After Effects).
• Developing and delivering design concepts and creatives for digital publications, infographics, videos, motion graphics, multimedia presentations or the Web.
• Developing storylines and storyboards for video and/or animation products.
• Constantly learn and share your knowledge with colleagues.
This inventory is for casual employment. Casual employment is a temporary employment of 90 working days or less, in a calendar year, to meet needs arising from such contingencies as vacations, sick and training leaves, to conduct special projects that are anticipated but dependent of the availability of funds, etc.
NOTE: Casual appointments are excluded from the provisions of the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). This means casual appointments will not be eligible to apply to internal appointment processes. In addition, the PSEA specifies that the number of days worked as a casual worker cannot exceed 90 days in a calendar year within the same department.

EDUCATION
• A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
• Recent experience* in using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Premiere, After Effects) and the Microsoft Office suite of products
• Experience in developing and delivering design concepts and creatives for at least two (3) of the following: digital publications, infographics, videos, motion graphics, social media, multimedia presentations and/or web sites
• Experience consulting with clients, stakeholders, productions coordinators, and/or web content advisors on the development of motion graphic design products or videos
*Recent experience means in the last two (2) years.

KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge of Government of Canada policies, guidelines, and standards related to design and communications including the Federal Identity Program (FIP), Official Languages and the Government of Canada Copyright.
ABILITIES
• Ability to create motion graphics and video products.

• Ability to prepare multimedia presentations.
