The results of this process will initially be used to staff (2) positions indeterminately.
A pool of essential qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created/establish and may be used by Transport Canada to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles/requirements and/or various tenures (including Indeterminate / Term / Assignment / Secondment / Deployment /Acting) in the National Capital Region.

Education:
Secondary school diploma or other acceptable combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
Experience:
EX1: Significant* and recent** experience in developing and interpreting policies, processes or regulations.
EX2: Experience in preparing and presenting a wide variety of written materials, such as guidance materials, reports and briefing materials.
EX3: Significant* experience in project management.
*Significant experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities that would normally be acquired by performing the duties for a period of three years.
**Recent experience is defined as experience associated with having performed the duties within the last five years.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Stream 1- National Programs
AED1: Graduation from a recognized university or college in a field related to the position (e.g. aviation management).
AED2: Certificate in quality assurance or management systems.
Stream 2- International Aviation
AED3: Graduation from a recognized university or college in a field related to the position(e.g. social science, international affairs).
Experience:
Stream 1- National Programs
AEX1: Experience working in the aviation industry.
AEX2: Experience in promoting regulatory compliance.
Stream 2- International Aviation
AEX3: Experience in liaising with international stakeholders such as with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) or foreign Civil Aviation Authorities.

Knowledge of trends and evolution in safety management systems.

Knowledge of the role of Global Affairs Canada in support of Transport Canada.
