One indeterminate position will be staffed from this process. A qualified pool of candidates may be established from this process to staff identical or similar positions within Public Services and Procurement Canada with various tenures (Indeterminate, Acting, Term, Deployment, Assignment, Secondment).

Education:
Graduation with a diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution
OR Professional certification for a recognized professional designation in an area related to Real Property;
OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and work experience relating to this position.
Experience:
- Significant and recent experience in the delivery of at least two (2) or more of the following fields related to real property:
1) appraisal or assessment; 2) strategic land use planning; 3) investment, financial, or risk analysis; 4) analyzing development plans; 5) disposal and or acquisition; 6) leasing or lease management; 7) portfolio management; 8) real property planning (i.e. renovation, construction, space optimization, investment); 9) project management; 10) asset management; 11) expropriation; 12) Aboriginal consultation or negotiation.
- Experience providing strategic advice and making recommendations to clients or management in areas relevant to the position.
* “Recent” experience means that it has occurred within the past 5 years.
** “Significant” is defined as a minimum of 12 consecutive months and refers to the breadth and depth of experience normally acquired through direct responsibility to a wide and variety of complex files or projects in the field of work in question.

- Significant experience in negotiating Real Property acquisitions and disposals.
- Significant experience with Indigenous consultation.
- Certification related to real property.

Candidates from outside the Federal Public Service will be required to pay for their own travel expenses for various phases of testing/assessment.
Public service employees found qualified in this process may be considered for acting, assignment, deployment or secondment.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
