Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff one (1) indeterminate position.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process in order to fill identical or similar positions with various tenures (specified period or indeterminate), operational requirements and conditions of employment within the Public Service.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in nutrition, dietetics or home economics

Degree equivalency

Registered Dietitian or eligibility for registration with a provincial/territorial College of Dietitians

Experience in formulating and providing comprehensive (i.e. broad, complete and including all/most aspects of an issue or topic) advice and recommendations to senior management and a variety of audiences on the development of policies, programs, services or initiatives related to health or social wellbeing

Experience leading and coordinating processes with diverse partners, organizations or sectors to plan and develop policies, programs or frameworks related to health or social wellbeing

Experience developing and maintaining collaborative and effective relationships with stakeholders, partners or clients

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Graduation with a Master’s Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in public health, nutrition or other discipline relevant to the position

Degree equivalency

Member of Dietitians of Canada

Experience working in a primary health care setting with Indigenous or other vulnerable populations

Experience working in/ with Indigenous communities or with Indigenous organizations to support the delivery of policies, programs, services or initiatives related to nutritional health or the social determinants of health.

Experience leading and coordinating policy development processes related to the health or social wellbeing of Indigenous Peoples

Experience managing financial resources

Experience in developing, managing and evaluating programs, projects, services or initiatives related to the nutritional health of Indigenous Peoples.
