EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with a specialization in nutrition, food science, medical science or in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
EXPERIENCE:
EE1 Experience in researching, analysing, and integrating scientific or regulatory information related to food or health and drawing conclusions in order to make recommendations.
EE2 Experience in providing scientific, regulatory or technical advice to staff, management or stakeholders on nutrition issues.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with an MSc, PhD or advanced medical sciences degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
Eligibility for registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD).
Certificate or diploma in regulatory affairs.
Masters degree in Health Sciences.
Masters degree in Public Health.
EXPERIENCE:
AE1 Experience in the development, implementation or enforcement of food regulations or policies.
AE2 Experience in the safety or efficacy assessment of food.
AE3 Experience in food manufacturing and quality control/assurance.
AE4 Experience in food research and development.
AE5 Experience in updating food composition database/tables.
AE6 Experience in the verification/validation of food consumption data at a population level.
AE7 Experience in conducting literature reviews.
AE 8 Experience in developing educational or training materials supporting policies and regulations.
AE9 Experience in conducting social science research related to food and nutrition.
AE10 Experience in evaluating the quality of nutrient data with regard to nutrition facts table information, sampling, statistics and/or methods of laboratory analysis.
AE11 Experience conducting regulatory or policy or research activities related to infant nutrition.
KNOWLEDGE:
AK1 Knowledge of the Canadian Food and Drugs Act and Regulations related to nutrition.
AK2 Knowledge of risk assessment principles.
ABILITIES:
AA1 Ability to verify and analyze raw nutrient data to ensure that information is accurate.
