A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada across Canada with various tenures such as indeterminate or term. The pool can be used to staff positions with various linguistic profiles and various security requirements. . It may also be used by other federal organizations. Positions to staff are currently located in Ottawa and Gatineau

EDUCATION
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the duties of the position.

EXPERIENCES
Experience in the set-up, configuration and operation of simultaneous interpretation systems and audiovisual equipment.
Experience in the set-up, configuration and operation of one of the three following technologies:
- Webcasting;
- Teleconferencing; OR
- Videoconferencing.
Experience in providing technical services and advice on audiovisual requirements to a client.
Experience in working with floor plans and specifications related to audiovisual requirements.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION
Post-secondary education in an audio visual technical related field (Certificate or Diploma).
Certified Technical Specialist (CTS).
Certification in Crestron System programing.

Experience in technical planning and coordination for major events.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to manually lift equipment and furniture weighing upwards of 23 kg.
Have a valid (G-level or equivalent) driver’s licence.
Various Security Clearances: Top Secret, Secret or reliability.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the conditions of employment throughout their employment.
OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Willingness to work overtime as needed on short notice.
Willingness to work flexible hours – core hours are 0800hrs to 1800hrs.
Must wear safety shoes.
Willing and able to physically set up conference rooms where some heavy lifting of items such as chairs, tables and stages is necessary.
Willingness to travel
