CR 05 Human Resources Position:
Provide guidance on the staffing process and programs to managers and employees. Provides administrative and human resources services in a number of personnel administration disciplines. Conducts research of information and prepares a variety of reports and statistics with respect to HR program activities. Implements recruitment and staffing programs. Updates and maintains various databases.
CR 05 Finance Position:
Provide guidance on the financial administration of a variety of AAFC programs. Provide accurate reporting, analysis, forecasting and accounts payable/receivable services to clients.
The advertised positions fall within the Integrated Services Management group in the Corporate Management Branch for the Department of Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada. The Corporate Management Branch (CMB) helps the Department achieve strategic outcomes and priorities while exercising sound stewardship of its resources. This ensures the Department can meet operational requirements and deliver quality programs and services to Canadians. These positions are part of the group that provides integrated administrative and facilities management services in support of Departmental operations for Science and Technology Branch sites.
Human Resources Coordinator: There is an immediate need to staff (1) full time temporary position (11 month duration).
Finance Clerk: Anticipatory
A pool of qualified and partially qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures as well as various linguistic requirements.

Experience working in MS Outlook, MSWord, and MSExcel.
Experience in providing administrative services, such as but not limited to, preparing correspondence, reports, or documents; providing information; maintaining electronic or hard copy records; or filing, processing mail, or reception.
Experience in providing support and guidance to clients (which include managers, employees and external clientele) in Human Resources or Finance.
Successful completion of post-secondary classes in accounting.
Experience inputting and extracting information from an Integrated Financial or Human Resources system.
Experience providing administrative services in Human Resources.
Experience providing administrative services in Finance.
Successful completion of post-secondary classes in accounting.
Experience developing and modifying spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel at an *intermediate level.
*Intermediate is defined such as using If(), Sum(), Average() functions or creating pivot tables
