The position is responsible for coordinating the flow of information and visitors through the director’s office. Duties include managing the director’s schedule, organizing meetings, organizing travel, tracking the flow of documents, preparing written correspondence, and flagging items for the attention of the director’s office.
The intent of this process is to fill one (1) indeterminate position.
A pool of qualified or partially assessed candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements, in various locations in Edmonton, with various tenures (term and/or indeterminate) within Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
• Experience in providing *administrative support services to management.
* Administrative support includes:
a. Managing a schedule and/or e-mail on behalf of management,
b. Arranging or processing travel,
c. Organizing meetings, preparing meeting files, or minute taking,
d. Maintaining a document filing system
• Experience in financial processes or budget tracking.
• Experience in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
Asset Qualifications
Education:
Degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Successful completion of an Office Administration or Executive Assistant program from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Experience:
Experience as an executive assistant to senior management (i.e. director level or above).
Experience working for an enforcement organization, a natural resources or environmental enforcement organization.
