STEP 1 – SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
You must submit a complete application, consisting of a covering letter which clearly demonstrates how you meet the education AND experience criteria listed in the essential AND asset qualifications (if applicable) and a résumé which supports the covering letter.
In your cover letter, you must use each individual criterion of education and experience criteria and any of the assets qualifications that you possess as a HEADER and then using concrete examples write one or two paragraphs per individual criterion demonstrating in clear and precise detail how you meet the qualifications required.
It is not sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN and WHERE the qualification was met through substantiation by examples.
The covering letter will be used as the primary tool in the screening process and the résumé will be used to substantiate the information provided. Please note that point form, "copy and paste" from your resume and comments such "refer to my attached resume" will NOT be accepted.
Please note that your cover letter will be used to assess your ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Once you are ready to start the exam, you will need to send an e-mail to the following email address: to receive the link to the online exam. (If you do not receive the exam link within 5 minutes, please check your spam).
ONCE YOU ACCESS THE EXAM LINK, YOU WILL HAVE 2.5 CONSECUTIVE HOURS TO COMPLETE AND SUBMIT YOUR EXAM. Please have a watch/clock close by in order to help you track your time.

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established from this process which may be used to staff similar positions within the Department of Justice with various tenures, with various language requirements and various conditions of employment, which may vary according to the position to be staffed.

A covering letter in 9,999 words (maximum)
- Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Experience in providing at least three (3) general administrative services which may include, but is not limited to: corresponding over email, managing a calendar, formatting and editing documents, filing, organizing meetings, preparing meeting materials, maintaining a bring-forward/tracking system, preparing travel arrangements, etc.).
- Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Experience in using a financial system such as SAP or Oracle softwares.
- Experience providing financial services.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel or PowerPoint).
- Experience in scheduling and coordinating an executive’s* calendar.
- Experience in organizing events.
- Experience in the use of acquisition or company credit cards.
- Experience in acquiring goods and services in an office environment.
*Executive is defined as: President, Vice-President, CEO, Director or equivalent
