COVER LETTER:
• You must submit a cover letter in MS Word format to by the closing date of the poster.

• Your cover letter will be used to assess your ability to communicate effectively in writing
• For the essential experience criteria (Must Have) - You have 500 words to describe how you meet ALL the criteria
• For the asset experience criteria (Nice to Have) - You have an additional 150 words per criteria to describe how you meet them (if applicable)
In your cover letter, you must demonstrate how you meet the essential experience criteria (and asset experience criteria, if applicable), by describing the following:
• The What – the title of your position, including group and level
• The Where – the name of the department or organization where you gained the experience
• The When – dates that show the length of time you spent in the position
• The How - concrete examples of how you meet the ESSENTIAL experience qualifications

The results of this process will be used to staff 1 position indeterminately. A partially assessed or fully assessed pool of candidates may be created to be used to staff this position or similar positions with various tenures within Transport Canada at 159 Cleopatra Drive in Nepean. The pool created will not be shared with other Transport Canada branches or departments.

EXPERIENCE
EX1: Experience in

EX2: Experience in editing and proofreading English technical* publications or technical* documents.
EX3: Experience in proofreading French translated documents and revising translated text.
*Technical: documents using technical language/vocabulary
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Extensive* experience in editing and proofreading English technical** publications or technical** documents.
AEX2: Extensive* experience in proofreading French translated documents and revising translated text.
*Extensive: complex activities in a wide variety of situations for a minimum of 2 years
**Technical: documents using technical language/vocabulary
AEX3: Experience in the field of aviation in a maintenance, manufacturing, operational or regulatory environment.
AEX4: Experience determining user requirements, coordinating the implementation of system enhancements and performing user acceptance testing (UAT)
AEX5: Experience coding with HTML
Bilingual - Imperative (PPB/PPB)
A "P" in the linguistic profile indicates a requirement (written comprehension and written expression) for technical or specialized language skills. The P level will be assessed during the written exam period. This is not assessed through the Public Service Commission.
