Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) is the national leader in defence and security science and technology.
As an agency of Canada’s Department of National Defence (DND), DRDC provides DND, the Canadian Armed Forces and other government departments as well as the public safety and national security communities, the knowledge and technological advantage needed to defend and protect Canada’s interests at home and abroad.
Immediate need will be to fill 1 determinate position (2 1/2 years).
A pool of qualified candidates could be established for the purpose of staffing similar positions with varying linguistic profiles, varying levels of security and varying durations (term, indeterminate, assignment, secondment, transfer and acting).

Education:
Successful completion of an acceptable diploma program in Engineering Technology (mechanical/electrical/electronic/computer/metallurgical/material) at a recognized institute of technology or undergraduate degree from a recognized university in a specialization/field relevant to the duties of the position such as mechanical engineering technology, psychology, human factors or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Experience:
- Academic or professional experience in the design of electronic circuits prototypes.
- Academic or professional experience in capturing electronic signals and usage of measurement devices such as oscilloscopes, multimeters or logic analyzers.

Academic or professional experience in failure analysis in integrated circuits
Academic or professional experience in microcontroller programming
Security clearance: Enhanced reliability or Secret
