Experience:
Recent* and significant** experience in the following:
• Gathering and analyzing real property information and making recommendations based on the analysis
• Providing advice related to real property to internal or external clients and/or management
• Conducting financial investment analysis or cost-benefit analysis
• Preparing and presenting reports to management and/or clients
*Recent experience is considered to be within the last 5 years.
**Significant experience is considered to be a variety of complex activities within real property.

Education:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization in economics, sociology or statistics do not necessarily have to have been obtained within the degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education of a minimum of 3 courses in economics, sociology or statistics and one year of directly related experience and/or training.
Knowledge:

• Ability to analyze information, develop strategies and/or recommendations to management or clients.
Education:
• Certification(s)/Designation(s) related to real property.
• Master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in economics, public administration, business administration, sociology or statistic
Experience:
• Experience in interpreting policies and frameworks.
• Experience working with discounted cash flow models.
• Experience preparing business cases, feasibility studies, options analysis or asset management plans.
• Leading the development and monitoring of investment strategies and/or portfolio plans or project proposals related to real property.
• Experience in managing real property projects and project resources.
• Experience in the training of staff or related resources.
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of the PSPC’s Real Property National Project Management System
Reliability Status security clearance
Conditions of Employment:
• Reliability Status security clearance.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice if required.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, including overnight, when required.
• Willingness and ability to inspect buildings/properties as required.

Public service employees found qualified in this process may be considered for acting, assignment, deployment or secondment.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
