Duties

The ideal candidates for this opportunity will:
• Organize, implement, and provide support and advice for the procurement of goods and services;
• Create, review and issue a variety of documents required for the solicitation and administration of contracts for various commodities;
• Provide clients with advice and guidance on contracts and applications;
• Prepare and maintain various procurement reports and assist with data entry into the financial system.

Intent of the process

This process will be used to create a qualified pool of candidates which will be used to staff PG-02 position(s) of various tenures within Public Services and Procurement Canada in Halifax, NS; St. John’s, NL; Moncton, NB; Saint John, NB; Charlottetown, PEI.

A pool of partially and/or fully qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements and various security profiles within the Atlantic Region.

The qualified pool may be used to staff similar positions in other federal departments and agencies.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

• Successful completion of secondary school education according to provincial/territorial standards; or an acceptable combination of education, experience and/or training relevant to the position(s) being staffed.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience providing services to clients in a fast-paced, high-volume or multi-tasking environment.
• Experience working in a procurement OR materiel management OR real property related environment such as sales / retail, purchasing, or contracting.
• Experience in the use of various software programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
