The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various tenures, various language requirements, and/or various security clearance levels. The current intent is to staff positions in Charlottetown, PE

EDUCATION:
ED1: Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Notes:
1. Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing position in the CS group.
2. It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.
3. At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in programming, designing, developing and testing software applications within the last five (5) years in any ONE OR MORE of the following; or
EX2: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in programming, designing, developing and testing data sets within the last five (5) years in any ONE OR MORE of the following.
• Experience in JAVA
• Experience in SQL
• Experience in PL/SQL (Oracle)
• Experience in Oracle 11.2 or greater
• Experience in Oracle 11.2 or greater Database Administration
• Experience in Oracle SQL*Loader
• Experience in Oracle Patching on Unix Servers
• Experience in Oracle designing and developing data packages and reports using business intelligence tools
• Experience in .NET (VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET and/or MVC)
• Experience in CRM Dynamics online / on-premise 2013 or higher
• Experience in Java Script
• Experience in HTML5.
• Experience in C++, Oracle Pro-C, or C
• Experience in Perl
• Experience in working in Unix or AIX operating systems
• Experience in system testing using automated tools (please identify tools used and in what capacity)
• Experience in data modeling using business intelligence tools
• Experience with R and/or python
• Experience with data analytics tools
• Experience with big data Hadoop domain and related tools
• Experience in a project management team in an IT/IM environment.

(Experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that is normally associated with minimum of two (2) years.)
