EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in Library Sciences, Economics, Sociology, Statistics or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

or

Graduation with a diploma in Library and Information Technology from a recognized university or college or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed and recent (within the last 6 years) and significant (at least 1 year) paid experience in the provision of library services.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

1. Experience in the use of various software programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

ASSET EXPERIENCE

1. Experience providing library services.
2. Experience working within an Education environment.
3. Experience working in a correctional setting.
4. Experience working with Indigenous cultures and languages.

1. Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy related to institutional libraries.
2. Knowledge of library management.
