NOTES:
1. Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
EX1: Recent and significant experience in managing public communications, including media relations, in a complex, high-profile environment.
EX2: Experience managing human and financial resources, including responsibility for hiring, training and performance management of human resources and planning, forecasting and reconciling financial resources. Please note that applications may be screened for depth and length of experience for this criteria.
EX3: Recent and significant* experience managing a team responsible for providing direction and support to senior management on standards, policies, guidelines and procedures related to communications in a government context.**
*Recent and significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally be associated with the performance of these duties as a major function for approximately twenty four (24) months within the past four (4) years.
**Senior Management: Director level or above, Ministers, Members of Parliament and other political officials.
