Intent of the process

A pool of candidates MAY be created and MAY be used to make indeterminate appointments at the EX-01 group and level to staff current and future Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Canadian Coast Guard positions across Canada. All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this staffing process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position if a pool is created.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Significant* experience in providing strategic advice, briefings and recommendations to senior management (DG, CEO, CIO level and above) on internal or external audit matters

Significant* Experience in establishing and managing effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders

Experience ** in the management of human resources

*Significant experience requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years with clearly demonstrated breadth and depth of activities completed in support of attaining that experience throughout that time period.

**Experience in managing “human resources”: Applicants must clearly demonstrate that they have supervised staff, assigned work, and assessed performance and have exercised staffing authority.

A Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in managing a broad range of internal or external audit engagements within the federal Public Service

Experience in developing multi-year audit plans

Experience in providing secretariat support to audit, evaluation or other senior level committees

Experience using TeamMate audit management software
