This selection process will be used to staff a large number of vacancies with different language requirements and tenures (indeterminate, seasonal indeterminate, term, etc.). The intent of this process is to hire motivated employees who are looking to join a dynamic team!

Education:
• Successful completion of two years secondary school OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
Experience:
• Experience in food handling practices and techniques in an institutional, commercial or industrial food services operation.
• Experience in operating a personal computer using MS Office Suite applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience in handling cash, and operating a Point of Sale Terminal (POST).

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of food preparation and storage; sanitation and safety practices related to a food service operation.
• Knowledge of food services equipment and operation.

Ability:
• Ability to work under pressure.

Education:
• Successful completion of a post-secondary educational program in a field relevant to the position to be staffed.
Occupational Certification:
• Certification in a recognized field such as Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), health hygiene or safety.
Experience:
• Experience in working in a military establishment.
• Experience in serving in a formal military dining environment.
• Experience in working with limited supervision.

Operational Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 kg in accordance with general safety practices.
• Ability to work in all 5 CDSB Gagetown locations (such as H-33 and Argonaut).
Reliability Status security clearance
• Must wear approved safety footwear and other personal protective equipment as required.
• Must adhere to the Food Safety Code of Practice.
• Willing and able to work shifts as required.
• Willing and able to work weekends as required.
• Willing and able to work overtime as required.
