The Department of National Defence (DND) is one of the largest federal government employers. DND's role is to provide services and support to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in their operations and missions at home and abroad. As a civilian employee, you will be an essential part of the Defence Team.
The intent of this process is to staff one indeterminate position in Edmonton, Alberta. A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions at the same or equivalent group and levels with various tenures and security profiles.

Occupational Certification:
Possession of a valid Red Seal or provincially recognized journeyman certificate as a Carpenter, Mason, Tilesetter or Painter or completion of a military QL6A course in a related field.
Experience:
Experience in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience in supervision of a *multi-trade team involved in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure.
*Multi-trade team – group of workers encompassing multiple tradespersons, such as carpenters, masons, tilesetters, painters, apprentices, and other applicable trades.

Aerial lift equipment
Experience in project management in a construction engineering capacity
Experience using SAP based programs such as DRMIS
Recent* experience in supervision on a multi-trade team involved in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure.
