The office is located at 1200 Vanier Parkway in Ottawa, Ontario.
The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC and a RCMP Top Secret security clearance.

Education:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in a field related to the position, such as computer science or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
- *Extensive experience in setting direction and providing advice to Assistant Deputy Ministers (equivalent level or higher) on the strategic acquisition, development, deployment and use of organizational information management solutions and digital technologies (IM/IT).
- *Extensive experience in leading organization-wide information/data management and technology (IM/IT) functions (i.e., demonstrate experience in at least three different functions such as: enterprise architecture, application development, identity management, systems/infrastructure operations, cyber security, workplace technology devices, client relationship management and IT project management) in a large, complex organization.
- *Extensive experience managing substantial **financial and ***human resources matters.
- Experience developing and maintaining domestic or international partnerships to achieve organizational outcomes.
- Experience in leading complex, organization-wide information/data management and technology (IM/IT) transformation in a dynamic environment.
NOTE:
*Extensive experience is defined as experience normally acquired over a period of 3 years or more as a senior executive (EX-02, C/Supt or equivalent and above).
**Financial resources management is defined as experience in managing with demonstrated stewardship a significant amount of financial resources. Applicants must show evidence of managing and being accountable for a budget, as well as indicate the size of the budget they managed.
***Human resources management is defined as experience in managing human resources through subordinate management teams with demonstrated stewardship of a significant complement of human resources. Applicants must clearly demonstrate their experience in this area with supporting examples, as well as indicate the number of staff they supervised.
Asset Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience in managing or leading organization-wide, mission-critical information/data management and technology (IM/IT) functions in a public safety or national security organization.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

Asset Qualifications
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Canadian law enforcement environment, the strategic role and priorities of the RCMP within the Canadian public safety and national security context, and the RCMP’s mission-critical police information systems.
Top Secret security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.
-Must relocate to the National Capital Region.
-Must be willing to travel within Canada and abroad.

The Assessment Committee reserves the right to contact references other than the ones submitted by the candidates (only within the Public Service), if found necessary, in order to make a suitable assessment of the candidates.
